Torres and Ronaldo both nominated, but who do you think should be crowned FIFA World Player of the Year?

The nominations for this year's FIFA World Player of the Year have been announced. Both Cristiano Ronaldo and Fernando Torres have nominated alongside Barcelona duo Lionel Messi and Xavi as well as AC Milan's Kaka.

Last year saw Kaka take the award, however this year's award is unlikely to go to the Brazilian playmaker, with Ronaldo a very hot favourite to take the award. Although you can't really look beyond Ronaldo, I feel Xavi has had a magnificent year. He was outstanding during Spain's successful Euro 2008 campaign and he deserves a lot of praise.

The winner will be announced on the 12th of January in at a ceremony in Zurich.

So who do you think should be crowned the FIFA World Player of the Year? Place your votes below.
