Spurs summer signing to be shown the door in January?

Tottenham are looking to offload summer signing Roman Pavlyuchenko once the January transfer window opens. The Russian international has failed to impress since moving to White Hart Lane on September 1st for a fee of £14 million and it is now thought that Harry Redknapp is preparing to get rid of the striker.

The 26-year old has scored just three goals for the North London club in a dozen appearances. With Spurs currently only having three recognised strikers at the club in Frazier Campbell, Darren Bent and Pavlyuchenko it makes a January exit for the former Spartak Mosocow man highly unlikely.

Several big name strikers have been linked with a move to Spurs in recent weeks, including the likes of Robbie Keane and Peter Crouch, who have been tipped to replace Pavlyuchenko in the Spurs starting eleven.

Although I have been unimpressed with Pavlyuchenko since coming to the Premier League in the summer, I don't think he will be leaving any time soon. He came to England with a big reputation and unfortunately for Spurs fans he hasn't quite lived up to the billing, however given some time he may yet turn into a top class striker.

Fancy having Pavlyuchenko in your team? Well he costs just £5.5 million in this season's "You the Manager" and may well be worth a look. So follow the link below to enter your team to be in with a chance of winning some terrific monthly and weekly prizes.
