Liverpool striker talks of one day leaving the club
Liverpool striker Fernando Torres has today admitted he would love to one day return to Atletico Madrid. The Spanish international left the La Liga club 18 months ago after progressing through the youth ranks at the Vicente Calderon in a £26 million move to Anfield, but today he has spoke of his desire to return. "When I was there I couldn't do any more, but I would like to go back." He added: "Right now I have no plans to leave England. Not to Spain, not to Italy, not to another English club."Torres has also been recently linked with a move to the world's richest club Manchester City, however it seems unlikely he will swap title chasing Liverpool for mid-table City. No surprise to see Torres come out with these comments. Torres was and still is a legend with all at Atletico and it is nice to see that he would love to go back to the club were he made his name. If and when Torres does eventually move back to Atletico, it will definitely make the Premier League and indeed Liverpool a worse off place because Torres is a fantastic player.
Torres, 24, has proved a massive hit at Liverpool since joining the club last summer and has already scored over 25 goals for the Merseyside club. Torres told The People : "I don't know if I will retire there, but I would like to go back and finish some things that are left to do.
