Rover line up Chelsea midfielder to replace Savage

According to today's News of the World, Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes is ready to bid for Chelsea midfielder Steve Sidwell to accommodate the probable departure of Robbie Savage this month.

Sidwell has, not surprisingly, found it hard to brake into the Chelsea first team and is believed to be growing increasingly frustrated at the situation and in search of a move.

He left Reading last summer to join Chelsea and most people felt it was the wrong move, and so that has proved to be but now Hughes is willing to offer him a way out.

I feel Sidwell could turn out to be a really good buy by Hughes. He was a terrific player at Reading and it has been a pity to of seen so little of him this season. I think Sidwell should just admit he made a mistake and go to Ewood Park.
