Liverpool close in on "Cafu-like" Ghanaian international !
Liverpool are targeting Ghanaian international Daniel Opare according to reports on Sky Sports today. The defender has responded to the speculation in saying that it would be a "dream" come through for him.
The 17 year old was the "best rated defender" at last year's U17 World Cup and afterwards was compared by some to Brazilian full back Cafu. He is still in contract at a club in his homeland until 2010 but it is believed that several European hig fliers including Real Madrid, AC Milan and Liverpool are interested in signing him.
It is thought though that Liverpool are favourites to snatch up the defender as the youngster hinted in a recent interview with The News of the World that he would prefer a move to the Premier League.

he plays for ashanti gold in ghana which liverpool have connections so there is a very good chance he will sign them.

That guy above is not Daniel Opare but he is Ransford Osei(joint top scorer of the world youth cup) a striker who Spurs where linked with.
