Spurs target Swedish star as United close in on Berba !
According to reports in today's Express, Tottenham are preparing for life without Dimitar Berbatov as he is supposedly poised to join Man Utd. However the London club have already lined up the Bulgarian's replacement in the form of Sweden and Toulouse striker, Johan Elmander.
The Swedish international joined Toulouse in 2006 from Brondby IF and he has done extremely well for the French side netting 22 times in 34 appearances for the club. He may not be as skillful as Berbatov but it does appear that he does have a good eye for goal.
If Spurs did manage to squeeze £30 million/£35 million out of United for Berba, then not only would they be making a big profit on him but even with the purchase of Elmander the Londoners would have plenty of funds to start rebuilding their defence.
