Spurs and Villa go head-to-head for United midfielder
Tottenham and Aston Villa are in talks with the agent of Newcastle United midfielder Charles N'Zogbia. The French under-21 international is strongly fancied to leave St James' Park this month after he admitted he was considering his options at the club.
N'Zogbia, 22, has always spoke of his desire to one day join Arsenal, however Arsene Wenger is currently not interested in the player so he may have to make do with a move to either Spurs or Villa. It is thought Newcastle will only listen to offers of £5 million plus for the player who has spent more than four years at the club.
Personally, I think N'Zogbia is too inconsistent. There is no doubt, that on his day, Charles is one of the best left-sided midfielders in the Premier League and I feel if Martin O'Neill or Harry Redknapp were to sign him, they would need to work very hard with him in order to get the best out of him.
