AC Milan plan January move for Liverpool ace

AC Milan are understood to be planning a January move for Liverpool defender Daniel Agger. The Danish international could be about to leave Anfield after his demands for his wages to be doubled were turned down by the Liverpool board.

The 23-year old has previously been linked with a move away from Merseyside after falling down the pecking order at the Premier League giants. The terrific form of Martin Skrtel kept Agger out of the starting eleven for several weeks at the beginning of the season, however Skrtel has since picked up a long-term knee injury which has seen Rafa Benitez give Agger the chance to to prove himself once again.

With Milan boss Carlo Anceolotti desperate to bring a new central defender to the San Siro in January, Agger is now seen as a possible acquisition for the Italian giants. Agger joined Liverpool back in 2006 from Danish side Bronby and he has since gone on to make 60 appearances for the club. Personally I was surprised to see Agger sitting on the bench at the start of the season because I feel he is a far better player than Skrtel. It would not surprise me at all to see Agger leave Liverpool once the transfer window opens, however I don't think AC will be alone in their interest in him.
