Celtic chase Liverpool and City stars
According to reports in several papers in recent days, Celtic are planning summer moves for both Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia and Manchester City captain Richard Dunne.
The Hoops have been linked with the pair for some time now and in recent days the rumours have heightened about the players futures at their current clubs.
Dunne, 28, is a Celtic fan and is currently stalling over a contract offer from City. He feels he deserves more money than he is being offered (around about £35,000) and I would tend to agree with the
Hyypia, 34, is likely to be sold in the summer as Rafa Benitez will have several quality centre-backs next season at his disposal in Dan Agger, Martin Skrtel and Jamie Carragher.
I feel the Hyypia transfer may yet happen but I don't see Dunne going north of the border. Dunne has struck up a terrific partnership with Micah Richards in recent months and I feel the club will give in and give him the money he wants.
