United join Arsenal, Chelsea and City in race to sign £15 million midfielder
According to reports in today's Sun, Newcastle United have joined the race to sign Dinamo Zagreb star Luka Modric.
The Croatian midfielder has been linked with a move to the Premier League for some time now with Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City all said to be interested in him.
It now appears as though new Magpies boss Kevin Keegan is also interested in bringing the 23-year old to England and he is willing to pay as much as £15 million although it is believed they will have to wait til the summer as Zagreb are reluctant to sell.
I have seen Modric a couple of times now and all I can say is the sooner he comes to England the better. He is an extremely talented attacking midfielder that any club would love to have in their side and this is reflected in the amount of top clubs in for him.
