Terrific news for Liverpool fans regarding Mascherano!
According to reports in various papers today, Liverpool could be about to complete a deal to sign Javier Mascherano on a permanent basis after the clubs owners agreed a refinancing investment of over £350 million.
The players future at the club had been in doubt for some time due to the owners failing to back Benitez with the £17 million which he needs to sign Mascherano but it now appears as though things could be looking bright for Mascherano's future at Anfield.
The 23-year old Argentinian midfielder has been linked with several moves away to clubs like Man City, Barcelona and Juventus all said to be interested in him. Mascherano has always stated he would love to stay at the club.
I feel this is terrific news for all Liverpool fans because Mascherano is a quality player. I know a lot of Liverpool fans and they all say he's class and that the club should keep him at all cost and it appears a though they have been granted their wish.

Well, definitely this news is not made up here but it's all over the press today.
So with 45 mil to spend for next season, once we get Masch for 17, it will leave us with only 28 milliong.
If we sell Kuyt for 6mil and Voronin for 2mil, then Kewell off our wage.
That would bring us around 36 million to spend on a winger and a striker.
Babel will play as a striker next season.

The refinancing and stadium is all over the press. As for keeping Mascherano, I haven't heard a dickie bird about it?! I wouldn't guarantee £36 million. The yanks are greedy scumbags.

we got around 10 mil for sissoko's transfer. So we just need additional 7 mil to get mascherano.
n then, we should offload riise, kuyt, voronin, leto, aurelio, hypia in the summer.. and give more chances to youth players like insua and others

I dont think masch is worth 17 million, we have a top class centre midfielder sitting on the bench every week....Alonso is a class act and him and stevie have been great together for years so 17 mil good be spent on winger & centre half. Sami, leto, Kuyt, voronin and Kewell should all go and get quality in the team. We are miles behind the likes of mancs, chelsea and arsenal
