Spurs to challenge United and Chelsea for Barca wonderkid

According to today's Daily Mail, Tottenham are to join the race to sign Barcelona wonderkid Giovani Dos Santos along with Manchester United and Chelsea.

The 18-year old Mexican has burst onto the scene this season, keeping out Barcelona star Ronaldinho on more than one occasion.

Both Man United and Chelsea are reported to of made firm, substantial offers for the player and it is believed Spurs are preparing one.

Giovani has always spoke of his ambition to stay with Barca for a long time but with a £20 million release clause in his contract he may yet find himself in the Premier League. I would love to see him in England because the times I have seen him, he's been immense.

theres not a club in the uk that would turn his head...honestly think about who you would rather play alongside(because when it comes down to it wages wont be the deciding factor) coming thru the barca youth system he can see whats happened to Messi(who did the same thing) ronnie, eto'o,messi, henry & also fellow youth protege bojan, he is gettin a good amount of playing time & is considered a 1st team regular...him moving to england is as likely as beckham still being england captain for the next world cup.
