Spurs and Pompey have bids accepted for striker

Both Tottenham and Portsmouth have tonight had bids accepted for Lyon striker Fred.

The player had already been told he could leave the club and the club have tonight told him he can pick between Pompey, Spurs or French side PSG.

Lyon accepted a £9 million bid from Portsmouth, a £11 million bid from Tottenham and a £7.5 million bid from PSG. "We have accepted these offers," said Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas. "It's up to Fred to decide."

I am excited to see that Fred may be on his way to the Premier League although he may opt to stay in France. He is a terrific talent and will guarantee goals to whichever of the sides he signs for and I for one wish him luck.

Only two offers have been made not three, with spurs unlikely to make a bid after the deals was not financially viable for them.

" Aulas is ready to sell with Paris Saint-Germain known to be one of the interested parties.

He told L'Equipe: "We have accepted two offers, one of which is from PSG, and it is now up to Fred to decide.

    "Both offers were financially satisfactory."

Both this site and skysports disregard Aulas' comments of two clubs have made offers and BOTH offers have been satisfactory.

plus if you put two and two together and include the fact that harry redknapp and his chairman loeft to talk to a play this morning....
