Liverpool to make fresh bid for £6 million Madrid star !

Liverpool could be set to make an approch for Real Madrid full back, Gabriel Heinze according to reports on Eat SleepFootball.com.

The former United defender was strongly linked with the Merseysiders last Summer, but Alex Feguson refused the player's wish to join their rivals. However now that the player is no longer under the authority of Sir Alex and Man Utd what's to stop The Reds from signing him now.

£6 million is thought to be Madrid's asking price for the Argentinian, but personally as a Reds fan I would prefer to see a world class striker brought in to partner Torres rather than another defender, Huntelaar perhaps.

If i was rafa i wouldn't touch van huntelaar with a barge pole! look at Dirk Kuyt!! he was an amazing striker in the Dutch league and now he wouldn't hit the side of a barn in the epl! too much of a risk of the same happening again... would love heinze to join, he's a class act and will ass steel to our already formidable defense, and it would annoy fergie to no end :-)

Fair enough you'd rather see a world class striker signed ahead of a defender. Funny tho you mention Huntelaar in the same sentence. What exactly is it he did to deserve the world class label???? Score a few goals in the Dutch league?

you cant say huntella will have turn out the same as kuyt, huntella has a better scoring record than kuyt, look at are other dutchman babel he turn out a great player. But David Villa is defintly world class and the man to partner torres

lets hope rafa does not buy a another dirk kuyt, to me a good signing would be defoe who is a glory player and would fine it in himself to play good for a team like liverpool rather than spurs where i think he has basically got bored. defoe would be under £10m and pretty low risk, has premiership experience and a good injury record. another couple of good options would be agbonlahor or kenwyn jones both are very good young players, proberly cost between £10 - £15 million each.
or if rafa prefers a risk why not go for dean ashton (one of the most under rated players around) if he stays fit he will be first choice for england under capello.
forget huntelaar he will be good but it would take time, we need an impact player right now. also why risk hienze aswell, to injury prone.!!

van basten, bergkamp, van nistelroy, gullit, van persie, overmars?

all very good players who have done well in england, there may be more, can't think..

to rule out huntelaar would be a mistake.

as long as his name doesn't begin with a K, that's fine with me....

Don't be mor0ns. Dirk Kuyt's ability has always been in question even when he was in the dutch league scoring goals. Huntelaar however, is, well, pure klaas and in my opinion would be a revelation in the prem, like those other many dutch players mentioned by previous poster. I have tracked his career for a few years now and have been dyin for liverpool to make a bid for him, even when we bought dirk the twirp.

i think rafa would sign another world class striker as a partner 4 torres. kuyt done enough for kop but not scoring goal, definitely. david villa could be an excellent.

We should have signed Anelka ... Anelka and Torres would have been frightening. The only other striker I could think we may be able to sign is Villa. If we can't - play Babbel up front and Kewell/Aurelio on the left until the summer.
If we are to sign a full back I'd love either Lahm or Chiellini to join.

So 'Liverpool could be set to make an approch for Real Madrid full back, Gabriel Heinze' according to another website, could they? I 'could' be about to join Liverpool myself, according to myself, especially if Huntelaar is 'world-class', having only played in the Dutch League for Ajax who have done nothing in europe for yonks.
    Poor fantasy football tripe!
