Merseyside star ready for Spanish return !!!
Everton midfielder, Mikel Arteta has today said that he would consider a move back to Spain with Atletico Madrid according to a report that has shocked Toffees fans in The Sun newspaper.
The 25 year old has enjoyed his time at the Merseyside club,winning several club awards as well as beating the likes of Lampard, Gerrard and Cristiano Ronaldo to midfielder of the year in the 06/07 season. He has also played a big part in helping The Toffees to reach the UEFA Cup in recent seasons.
To the shock of Blue's fans the Everton number 6 was quoted as saying, "One day I will end up at Atletico. It's a club I like and I would love to play there" in a recent interview with The Sun.
For any Atletico fans it's promising times after the introduction of several world class players and as for the Everton faithful, it's nothing to worry about just yet but if he does leave in the coming seasons, The Toffees could well be in a sticky situation.
