Arsenal and Chelsea's title hopes set for major blow !!

With the African Cup of Nations coming up in just a few months, do you think that it may hand the title to Man United or not? Obviously both Arsenal and Chelsea have a larger amount of Africans in their teams that will be going off to Ghana to represent their nations in the tournament and that in my view may yet be the deciding factor in this seasons Premier League.

Chelsea have the likes of Didier Drogba playing in the tournament for the Ivory Coast and in my opinion Chelsea aren't the same team wothout him. Arsenal have, in opinion their best defender in Kolo Toure representing the same country as Drogba and I think Arsenal will suffer without him.

Both clubs may get lucky that Ivory Coast get knocked out early but I can't envisage that happening. In total Arsenal have three players going to Ghana in January and Chelsea have four players taking part in the tournament. So, what do you think, will this effect both sides challenge for this seasons title?

It is a blessing in disguise. Firstly we will be able to see if Djourou can handle it in a top club (although i don't actually want Toure to go) and it may show us the way forward in terms of long term.

Secondly, we will stop using Eboue on the right and play two up front.

Last but not least, Song will be gone...

The ANC is not a new tournament and the management of Arsenal and Chelsea will be well aware of it, and will have already planned how to cope with the loss of their African internationals. Both clubs have strong squads so, although international-standard players will be missed, they will have more than adequate cover waiting to step in.

I am definitely sure that chelsea is out of it cos they have drogba, essien, mikel!! and without these backbone teams wil feel more confident against them. Arsenal I dont think its a problem at all. Adebayor is not going and V.Persie will be there and arsenal have always won games with their attackand midfield. Kolo is a great player but his absence will not impede Arsenal progress at all. so u have u have fabregas, hleb, VP, Rosicky, etc teams will always be n the defense against arsenal! the oly person arsenal will miss will be eboue! but I pity chelski

adebayor is not going coz Togo did not qualify n eboue will not be missed coz arsenal play 4-4-2 with rosiky and hleb on the wings, ade and rvp up front. Am not sure song will even make the team for camerooon but either that wont affect arsenal oz his not even near the first team so Toure alone wil be missed but that gives senderos a chance to up his game and maybe arsenal wont miss him as much.

Wow, I'm surprised that somebody IS going to miss Eboue. I am not am member of that club. Talented, yes. Good technique, yes. A moron, no doubt.
Toure will be a miss, but given that the 'loan' of Adriano doesn't become reality (:)) we have Big Phil and Gilberto so we can well handle that.
Just to say it: we COULD do with a striker the likes of Adriano. In case someone hasn't noticed yet: Adebayor is C...R...A...P! Sort him out!
