Liverpool and Spurs battle it out over Madrid's Sergio Ramos !?!?!?

It has today been reported that Tottenham and Liverpool are going to make a move for Real Madrid centre-half Segio Ramos in the upcoming January transfer window.

The Spaniard has performed consistently well for the La Liga side and played a huge roll in last years league title success as well as featuring regularly for his national side, but it has been rumoured recently that the young galactico is unhappy at his current club.

It is quite clear that with Spurs' poor defensive record in their games this season new personnel are required in the back line at White Hart Lane. However with the Spanish connection at Liverpool with both players and manager, it is felt that the versatile defender would be more at home on Mersyside.

Because of the 21 year olds great talent it is said that Madrid will not let him go for anything less than €18 million. The possible arrival of the Spaniard at Anfield in January would almost certainly see the way out for Liverpool veteran Sami Hyypia.

Where has this been reported? I've not seen any mention of it in the press. Also, there hasn't been any suggestion that Ramos is unhappy at the club: the fans love him and he's pretty much guaranteed a starting eleven spot. The money is probably irrelevant to Real as long as the player is happy to stay.
