Celtic boss Gordon Strachan has refused to comment on speculation linking Manchester United midfielder with a move to Celtic Park at the end of this season. The Manchester United captain has said he expects to leave Old Trafford in the summer when his contract expires. Having previously said he would like to end his career at Celtic, speculation he will move to Glasgow is now rife. But Strachan said: "If I say anything at all there will be headlines all over the place."Keane stressed that he would not stay in England if he left Old Trafford, adding further to the theory that a move to Celtic Park would suit him, though he would have to take a massive pay-cut.

But Strachan refused to give the expectant media any encouragement. "I've never spoken about anybody at any other club. I'm not going to change it now. I want to concentrate on Livingston," he added. "It's not fair on the player or the club. It's as simple as that." Celtic keeper David Marshall said the players are taking the speculation with a "pinch of salt". "Obviously every Celtic fan hopes he signs but I don't think it's set in stone that he is leaving Manchester United," said Marshall. "It would be great to have him up here and his experience would help all the young boys but he is getting on a bit now.

"He is 35 next summer but the experience he would bring would be great. It is just a pipe dream at the moment and we take it with a pinch of salt. "We have heard three or four times in the past that he is coming up here so nobody is talking about it in training."

Personally I would love to see Roy end his carrer at Cektic because I think he is a great player and Celtic would be a great place to end a great carrer. Keane will be 35 at the end of the season and I think he could still play at least two years more of competitive football. I personally believe he will move to Celtic at the end of the season and finish his playing days there.
