Arsenal and Tottenham are to do battle for Manchester City midfielder Michael Johnson come the opening of the summer transfer window. (News of the World)

Johnson, 20, has progressed through the ranks at City over the past few years but talk of a player mutiny at the club has led to speculation that he amongst many other City players will leave in the summer.

The England under-21 international is widely regarded as one of England hottest prospects and it comes as no surprise to me to see sides like Spurs and Arsenal interested. Johnson is currently valued around the £12 million mark.

As a City fan myself, I obviously hope he stays but I just feel he may want to leave the club before it gets too messy with eh whole Eriksson and Shinawatra thing. I feel he would be better off joining Spurs, due to the fact that he would receive more first team football.

The England international has never really been given a long enough run in the Reds first team to prove himself to Rafa Benitez and a lot of the talk in recent weeks is that he will leave in the summer.

Crouch, 27, has been at Anfield for over two seasons now and has failed to nail down a first team place at the club. Pompey boss Harry Redknapp is said to be a keen admirer of the player's and is ready to bring him to Fratton Park come the end of the season.

I personally think Crouch should of left Liverpool in the January transfer window because it is unfortunate to see a talent like him sit on the bench week in week out. I feel he may turn out to be a terrific signing for Pompey if he does indeed end up moving.

Drogba has long been linked with a move to the La Liga giants but Essien would appear to be a new target of Real's. There is no doubt Chelsea manager Avram Grant will be keen to hold onto Essien, 25 and Drogba, 30.

I personally think Drogba may leave Stamford Bridge in the summer but I don't feel Essien will be leaving just yet. Both are essential parts of the Chelsea team and if they were to leave Grant would need to bring in players of the calibre of Kaka.

AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso has said that he would like to move to a Premier League club according to reports in several of today's papers.

The fiery Italian has been with Serie A giants AC Milan for almost 10 years, but it now appears as though the 30 year old is looking for a new challenge. Early indications suggest that the likes of Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea may all be interested in "The Rhino".

With Flamini and Essien being linked with moves away from their respective clubs, and Spurs' frequent defensive problems, he would be an ideal player for any of the London sides.
