Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs & Man City all interested in £15 million England defender

Despite signing a new four-and-a-half year deal back in January, Glen Johnson continues to be linked with a move away from Fratton Park with a number of clubs interested in his signature.

The Portsmouth right-back played so well last season that he was even included in the PFA's Team of the Year despite the fact he played in a side which finished 14th in the Premier League table.

Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester City are all believed to be interested in signing the 24-year old who is likely to cost around the £15 million mark. It was reported earlier today that Johnson's former club Chelsea were now the favourites to sign him with Carlo Ancelotti keen to make him his first signing at Stamford Bridge.

It's hard to tell whether or not Johnson will leave Pompey now that the club has been taken over by a rich Arab. The new owners will obviously want to hold onto the club's most prized assets and Johnson in obviously one of those, however I feel once club's start making concrete bids for him he may want to leave the south coast. I can't see him going to Tottenham and with Liverpool's current financial trouble, I think a move to Anfield is unlikely, but that still leaves Chelsea and Manchester City.

So where will Johnson be playing his football next season? Comments below please.

I would love Glen Johnson at City, he is quality. I am dubious on our chances of getting him though.

Having moved from Chavski to play football, would he go back to play back up for Bosingwa?
Liverpool could do with him, but are in a mess.
Would he sign for Harry again or want CL footy and top 4 football?
Man City; neither of the above, but money no object. Would he sign to play for dead man walking.
Yeah, the money wins 99% of the time
