Arsenal and Spurs to go head to head for Brazilian playmaker
Arsenal and Tottenham are to spend January battling it out for Weder Bremen playmaker Diego. The Brazilian international is widely regarded as one of the best midfield players in the world and has now caught the eye of both Harry Redknapp and Arsene Wenger, who are keen to bring him to England.
Diego, 23, has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League with Chelsea understood to be keen admirers but for whatever reasons he remains a Bremen player. Both Arsenal and Spurs are likely to splash the cash in January with Diego now thought to be a number one target for both North London clubs.
Diego has spent the last two years with the Bundesliga giants since moving from Portuguese side FC Porto. He has an impressive strike rate for an attacking midfield player, bagging 31 goals in just 100 appearances. I personally would love to see Diego move to England. He is quality player who I feel would definitely be a magnificent signing either side in question.
