Liverpool defender Steve Finnan has today admitted he doesn't know if he has a future at the club. The Republic of Ireland international has fallen out of favour at Anfield following the arrival of Alvaro Arbeloa last season.

The 32-year old joined the Reds five years ago from fellow Premier League side Fulham, when Gerard Houiller was at the helm. Finnan said "I haven't played, but I will just wait and see and when the transfer window closes, we will know then,"

"I will wait and see if I can get into the team; if not, then obviously I want to play, so we will just have to take it from there."Finnan also revealed he has spoken to Benitez about his situation, but was not elaborating. "We have spoken about it, but at this time, I don't think I will say too much more," he concluded.I

I can see Finnan leaving the Reds for someone like Stoke or Hull before the window closes. He is a decent player, but not Liverpool standard in my opinion and I feel it would be best for him and indeed Liverpool if he left now.
