Spurs closing in on £15 million Keane replacement !
Tottenham are still in contention to sign Bayern Munich star Lukas Podolski according to reports in the Daily Telegraph today. If the German international was to link up with Juande Ramos' side that could see Robbie Keane's rumoured move to Liverpool go through.
The 23 year old who is currently playing in the Bundesliga is thought to be one of Juande Ramos top Summer transfer targets, especially after his eye catching performances for Germany in Euro 2008.
Although Podolski has struggled to cement a starting place in the Bayern side whilst competing with Luca Toni and Miroslav Klose for a place in the strike force, he has clearly shown his capabilities with his national side.
Podolski's move to White Hart Lane could open the door for Republic of Ireland star Robbie Keane who is thought to be interested in a switch to Rafa Benitez' Liverpool. Peter Crouch may be offered to the Londoners in exchange for Keane in a player plus cash deal.
