Liverpool turn attention to £20 million Sapnish star !
Rafa Benitez has admitted that Valencia striker David Villa is one of his top Summer transfer targets according to reports on BBC Sport today.
Liverpool are now on the hunt for a replacement to Peter Crouch, as his move to Pompey looks set to be completed in the next few days, and Villa would be an ideal candidate after proving his ability to partner Fernando Torres in Euro 2008. The pacy striker is thought to be a much sought after player though with Arsenal, United and Chelsea all said to be interested in signing him this summer.
However if the Reds were to sign the Valencia number 7 it would almost certainly mean that Rafa Benitez would have to differ from his favoured 4-5-1 formation. He is thought to be valued somewhere in the region of £20 million and even Benitez admits "it will be difficult" to sign him.
