Liverpool's £60 million eight Summer transfer targets !
The papers have come out today with eight supposed Summer transfer targets for Liverpool including; Antonio Valencia, Gareth Barry, Philipp Degen, Fernando Amorebieta, Albert Riera, Maxi Rodriguez, Dean Chamberlain and Medy Elito.
Gareth Barry has been heavily linked with Liverpool and Chelsea over the last few weeks and personally I think he would be a great signing for the Reds, but an estimated price tag of £12 million may be a bit too costly.
Borussia Dortmund's Phillip Degen has supposedly already verbally agreed to join the Merseyside club. Degen is a right back and has 26 caps for Switzerland. Those of you who watch the Premier League should be quite familiar with Antonio Valenica who's currently playing with Wigan.
It is Rafa Benitez so it wouldn't be right if there were no La Liga players linked with Liverpool, Fernando Amorebieta and Albert Riera were strongly linked with Rafa's side during the Summer last year and reports suggest the duo could complete their move to England this time around.
As for Maxi Rodriguez, he is a greatly talented midfielder who captains Atletico Madrid. He is likely to come at quite a higher price than those named above.
One player who will definitely be making his way to Anfield is 16 year old shot stopper Dean Chamberlain who the reds signed earlier this week.

None of them are much better than what we have at the moment, what a waste of money.

Maxi Rodriguez would be a great boost on the right side of midfield and Gareth Barry is a class player but i think we could manage without the others!

Is Maxi Rodriguez contract finished in the summer, so he would be a bosman and a good free signing, as for barry but theres no need need to sign another central midfielder unless alonso leaves.
All the rest would be are average and no need for them if liverpool want to improve

ye i think same ...barry and rodriguez the two of the best quality but amborieta or whatever his name is also looks decent... if we were to get barry the only place i could see him fitting in is left back but even aurelio is starting to play well there

to much football manager for you lot, all decent signings and those who you feel arent that great with their current team, they'll improve at Anfield, obviously the last 2 on the list are young players for the reserves Valencia & Maxi are 2 wingers, which we have been missing for a long time :( i am sure we'd all agree kewell has had a stinker and JP is struggling :(
