United set to swoop for £15 million Hoops star !

Newcastle are reportedly trying to sign Celtic midfielder Aiden McGeady according to reports in the Daily Record today.

The Irish international has made over a hundred appearances for the Hoops since breaking into the first team in 2004 and has managed more than twenty goals in that time. He also has 17 first team caps for Ireland under his belt.

The speedy left winger has supposedly attracted the attention of several Premier League managers including that of Newcastle's Kevin keegan.

It is thought though that the Glasgow side will not even consider offers of less than £12 million for the 21 year old. Personally I would love to see McGeady in the Premier League, I think that outside Celtic and Rangers, the SPL is too poor a league for a player of his quality.

Celtic don't need to sell any of our players, we are not a selling club, unlike Rangers, we have open and transparent accounts.
Rangers have been selling all their family silver for years, wake up rangers fans, when you sell a bluenose burger 100% profit goes to Murray. When you sell a jersey it all goes to JJB, all for £1.5M a year.
In ten years time when you sell a jersey you get zilch..
Take a look at mIm Accounts, in fact don't let him keep on fooling yous.
It all meks good for us, unless you get a PLC and see where every penny goes you will be forever hoodwinked by Murray and the laptop loyal, it's all good for us.
Ypus are sleepwalking to perpetual debt.
Long live Murrays regime it suits Celtic all the way.

Why would Aiden wish to leave Celtic? He is playing for one of the great teams of world football, and playing in the champions leauge every season! He would not get this in the EPL outside the big four. The EPL is over hyped with many of the games played being of poor quality - hence the drop in attendance at EPL games. If Aiden should wish to leave Celtic at some point lets hope he goes to Spain or Italy and not to a mid table team in the much over rated EPL. I think Aiden will be with us for a few more seasons.

Celtic do not need to sell our best players( one of the worlds top 20 richest clubs) and if any English team wants to try and tempt Celtic in to selling him i would imagine it would take a lot more than 12 million even to open transfer talks.
