Man United target £15 million Portuguese star, but face competition from Gunners !
Man United are targeting Sporting's defender Miguel Veloso, according to reports in today's Daily Mirror.
The Portuguese international has been linked with several moves to Old Trafford over the past few months and it is now thought that Sir Alex Ferguson will rekindle his interests in the player this Summer.
Veloso, 21, has been at Sporting since 2006 making over 25 appearances for the club and is yet to get off the mark in terms of goals. He has also 4 caps to his name for Portugal and is widely regarded as one of the hottest prospects to come out of the country in years.
The sooner Veloso comes to the Premier League the better. He is a terrific player that in my view would be capable of getting a place in almost any side. He is currently valued at £15 million and he is worth every penny of that.

Nobody, absolutely nobody, other than Arsene Wenger has a clue about which players, if any, we are trying to buy, so the idea that the Daily Mirror (or any other media outlet or source or blog) has the inside scoop is complete nonsense.
