United to snatch £12 million striker from under noses of Gunners, Liverpool and Chelsea

According to today's Sun Jan , Manchester United are preparing a £12 million bid for Ajax striker KlassHuntelaar.

The player looks certain to leave the Dutch giants at the end of this season and many clubs in the Premier League have expressed an interest in him and United are the latest.

Huntelaar, 24, has been playing at Ajax at Ajax for two years now after joining from fellow Dutch side Herenveen. He is widely recognised as one of the best finishers in Europe.

It is believed United will bid £12 million for the player and many people feel he may be tempted by the Old Trafford club. I would personally love to see Huntelaar join the Premier League because I feel he would be an instant success and he will score bags of goals.

I have lived in the Netherlands for the last few years and have watched a lot of Dutch football.. i agree that huntlaar is a great striker in the dutch league, but i also thought the very same about one Dirk kuyt who in two seasons went from a great striker in an average league to an average midfielder in a great league.. Van nistelroy aside the dutch are average at best when transferring to the epl so it would be a gamble in my opinion.

'He is widely recognised as one of the best finishers in Europe.' No he isn't, one of the best finishers in the dutch league perhaps. As I said in my previous comment that you were too chicken to publish, Kuyt was also quite prolific, but Huntelaar is more of a lodger, so he doesn't run around enough for Arsenal who you can be fairly certain don't want him, Liverpool also would be very shy to take another dutch striker.
