United chase £7 million Liverpool star
According to reports in various papers today, Newcastle United are preparing a £7 million bid for Liverpool striker Peter Crouch.
New Magpies boss Kevin Keegan has been linked with numerous amounts of players in recent days and it is taught he has outline Crouch as one of his main targets.
It is believed Newcastle will make an offer of £7 million to Liverpool for Crouch who hasn't started anywhere near as many games as he would of hoped.
Crouch, 26, once again proved to Rafa Benitez why he should be starting for Liverpool by last night scoring in the side's 2-2 draw with Aston Villa. I feel it is the right time for Crouch to leave Anfield and go and get some first team football somewhere else and Newcastle would be a good option.

you cant just say they took it off sportingo... just type peter crouch newcastle in to google and try count how many sites have it as a rumour...sportingo dont make this stuff up themselves, i mean they have to have some kind of source. any way im a liverpool fan and i dont think crouch should go .. to be perfectly honest i would almost rather see benitez go thatn pete

Crouchy posed far more of a goal threat than kuyt or voronin (as shown yesterday agaist Villa) so one (or both) of the other two should go

Sportingo, never did anything but make up every one of their stories, just try and find one of their sensational ranttings that have come to fruit. The worst windup site on newsnow.

Why would he go to Newcastle to join Mike Basset, sorry I mean King Kev?
Newcastle sign trophy players and big name managers (most of the time) they never win anything.
