United and Arsenal keep tabs on £10 million Everton star

According to reports in today's News of the World, Arsenal and Manchester United are keeping tabs on Everton defender Joleon Lescott.

The player has impressed this season, earning an England call-up and becoming a vital part of the Everton starting eleven.

The 25-year old has been at Goodison Park since 2006 after joining from Championship side Wolves. It is very clear that David Moyes wants to hold onto his star players but when the sides like Arsenal and United come knocking they often get their man.

It is not thaught that both sides will make bids in January but a summer move may be on the cards. Both Ferguson and Wenger are likely to start the bidding at around about £8 million but I feel they will have to cough up a lot more than that for Everton star.

No chance. In a recent interview Joleon said he was close to signing a new 5 year deal. He gets regular football at Everton, and we don't need United or Arsenal's money. Anyway, Moyes is turning us into a top 4 challenging team ourselves, so give it another couple of years and we'll have the money to be buying United and Arsenal's players.

hahaha, everton will never have the money or the squad to get in to the 4 best, your stadium is 2 small and doesnt get you any big cash from supporters, while arsenal and united bring atleast 60 000 every game, i know arsenal make around 300,000 every game just on tickets! so if arsenal or united wants him, you just have to get out of the way, sorry mate!

A quick look at the table shows Everton are currently in fourth - the exact same spot we finished in in 2005 - so yes, we can break the last season's top four monopoly - and we can do it without spending fees that are akin to the National Debt too. As for Man Ure and the Arse getting Lescott.... no chance ha ha ha

What makes me laugh is the price quoted, £10-million! If they think they can get Lescott for that price they really are living in cloud cuckoo land! Any way he wont be leaving you just wait and see.

    Lescott is a 20 M + Defender.
Everton are Building a Great Team and We have no Intention of Selling Him.
Players like Arteta, Lescott, Cahill, Yakubu, Fernandes, Pienaar and Baines will All be wanted by the "Big3" but Everton are uilding a Team to Win the League and Cups.
We Don't want Your Money !

£10-million?? you're having a laugh. Darren bent went for £16.5 million and lescott has nearly twice as many goals as him, and lescott is a defender! he's the future of the english national team and if for some reason everton did sell him, you'd have to double that £10 mil figure at the least.

but we won't sell him, the only reason he'd ever want to go to your either of your shit corporations...err... clubs is because of top 4 football, but that's not an issue because we're in the top 4 this year.
