Spurs close in on £12 million Barca defender !

Spurs are targeting Barcelona defender Carles Puyol according to reports on Sky Sports last night.


The 29 year old Barca star has made over 250 appearances for last seasons La Liga runners up and has become like a piece of the furniture at the Catalonia side.

It is thought that Juande Ramos has been trying to strengthen the Spurs defence and Carles Puyol would be the ideal man to start doing so. It is thought that he will cost the Londoners about £12 million and I think even at that price he would be a great signing for Ramos' side.

    Puyol, one of, if no the best defender in La liga and the champions league to come to a team that are struggling already this season and the only reason we will mkae europe is due to the fact we made the carling cup final and chelsea will finish in the top 4 so we get automatic qualification.

    The champions league start to a team struggling to win the UEFA cup, not a hope!!
