I know him well, I watch Italian league games apart from premiership. He's bloody good in front of goal and well built.

Just take a look at the clubs courting his signature.

You can always check out his youtube goals. I've seen him played for Palermo last season. Strong and good with the head. Not the pacy type though but has flair and good technique. Similar type of player like John Carew.

One striker from Serie A I would strongly recommend is Pazzini from Fiorentina. He is the type of player to complement Torres. Fast, good heading ability, hold the ball quite well and most importantly, knows how to find the back of the net.

I'll be over the moon if we do sign him.

If Rafa thought there was a chance of persuading the Anfield bean counters to give him £17M to spend, he'd use it to secure the permanent signing of Mascherano... We have no money to spend. Accept it and stop making stuff up!

I think 17m should be spent on a top class centre-forward.

I love Mascherano but we have Alonso who can play that position who is world class.

    Leiva is looking good.

The reason we have been so poor this season is because our strikers, except Torres of course, or absolutely useless.

Kuyt had a decent first season but he just isn't good enough. We need to score goals.

And take away Torres and Gerrard, the simple fact is, we don't.
