Keegan looks to make first signing with £10 million Spurs star !
Kevin Keegan's Newcastle has joined the race to sign Spurs striker Jermain Defoe according to reports on thisislondon.co.uk today.
Despite having the one of the best goals per minute ratio in the league this season, Jermain Defoe has struggled to maintain a place in Spurs starting eleven, with Robbie Keane and Dimitar Berbatov beating him to the forward line on most occasions.
Aston Villa were thought to be in advanced talks with the England international, but it appears now as though the new spark with Kevin Keegan at St. James may just attract the player up north.
It is thought Defoe will cost about £10 million and personally I think that he would be a great signing for either side at that price.
