Juande Ramos is fast becoming one of Premier League's best managers

Tottenham's turn around in this Premier League season is down only to one man and that man is Juande Ramos.

Ramos was appointed Spurs boss back in October after Martin Jol was sacked for a poor run of results (rather harshly in my view).

He had a terrific pedigree coming into the Spurs hot seat having led Sevilla to two consecutive UEFA Cup's and qualifying the club for Champions League football last season.

When Ramos took the reins at White Hart Lane everything changed. A new diet for all the players, a new assistant manager in Gus Poyet and ,most importantly, a better run of results. Spurs have won 12 of the 20 games Ramos has been in charge and are now within touching distance of the European places.

Spurs were in danger of relegation, no two ways about it, but since Ramos has come that sounds laughable. Spurs recently beat arch rivals Arsenal 5-1 in the Carling Cup semi-final second leg to ensure they reached the final at Wembley in February. That was the clubs first win over the Gunners for nearly ten years.

Ramos is a very cool and collected manager. He doesn't make any rash decisions in games and remains motionless when his side score. There is no doubt in my mind he is one of the best managers in the league and next season Spurs will be real contenders for a Champions League place.
