City join Liverpool and Arsenal in race to sign £20 million French star

According to today's Independent, Manchester City are to join the race to sign Marseille playmaker Samir Nasri along with Liverpool and Arsenal.

The 20-year old has been praised for his performances of late and it has led to intense speculation over his future at the club. He has even been compared by some as the next Zinedine Zidane, high praise for such a young player.

He has 7 caps in total for his home nation of France and has netted twice in the process. He was last year voted Young Player of the Year in Ligue 1 in France and has, this season, continued to impress on both domestic and European level.

It is believed that whoever wants to sign Nasri will have to cough up at least £20 million for the flamboyant attacking midfielder. In my opinion I would be delighted to see him join the Premier League because I feel he could flourish under any of the three managers involved.

lol not arsenal in my opinion... unless something magical happens when you play 11 playmakers and you automatically win 10-0

how can he take flamini's place as he is an attacking midfielder, don't you mean cesc (which is highly unlikely) although he needs some completion for his spot..

Nasri is a world class talent in the making and the premier league could do with him. he ran the show against us at anfield. would be dynamite to have him and gerrard in the centre!!!

..what? and mascha and xabi as well - how many midfielders do you want. the squad is the largest in the premiership. we can't just keep collecting midfielders

agreed, this posting is rubbish. gerrard(£30m min), alonso (10mill purchase price), mascherano(£17m still to pay according to...) lucas (£8 for 10 odd games so far - the brazilian footballer of the year last year) and momo (£5m purchase price). lets be realistic, we're not in for central midfielders

Nasri is better than the majoriti of midfielders in the premiership excluding gerrard, fabregas, mikel (who is gonna become awesome) it would be AMAZING to see a player of his talent in premiership before the big spaniards go in for him....
