Spurs target former Gunners ace

Tottenham have today been linked with a move for Blackburn star David Bentley. The former Arsenal youngster has impressed immensely this season and he is in many people's eyes, David Beckham's replacement in the England national team.

Bentley joined Blackburn two years ago after deciding to leave Arsenal due to the lack of first team football. Since joining Blackburn he has scored 11 times in 66 games for the club and has helped them qualify for the UEFA Cup in the last two seasons.

I think Bentley would be better off staying at Blackburn. Blackburn have shown so far this season that they are a far better side than Spurs and I feel if he were to move to the Londoners now it would be a step down in his career.

If Tottenham are to bid for Bentley I would feel they would have to cough up at least £12 million for the wide man. It would be a huge profit for Blackburn who signed the player for virtually nothing, but I'm sure Mark Hughes would reject any approach from Juande Ramos.

yes it is true Bentley is a huge spurs fan and that was the reason he didnt stay at arsenal. It is also true that David Villa, Daniel Alves, Makalele, John Terry and Peter Cech are all spurs fans too! And I heard from a very reliable source that they have all come together and decided that they want to make Spurs a real force so will all join in the summer. Berbatov also wants to stay and play for free. great news for us. COYS!!!

There really is someone out there stupid enough to believe that moving from Blackburn to Tottenham is a step down. Frightening. Give up writing about football and take up knitting.

This rather poor attempt at a wind up was bought to you by a 15 year old.

That would explain a lack of basic football knowledge. dont find it offensive.

lol blackburn can barely sell 17k seats for a semi-final u twat! spurs are around the 5/6th biggest clubs in the country! do you expect to see ramos go to blackburn, last I heard Mark Hughes was tipped to take over from Martin Jol, would that be a step down? you clearly know nothing about football, nice try though.
