Quaresma to Liverpool ???

Yet again Porto star Quaresma has been rumoured with a move to Anfield this coming January, but the question I put to you is does the club really need him?

I mean at the moment we have Benayoun, Pennant and Babel (who to me looks to be coming on a lot). It is thought that if the Merseysiders are to make a bid for the Portuguese international it will be for between £15 million and £20 million. But this fan thinks that that money would be better spent on a back up centre half, Newcastle's Steven Taylor perhaps, which would still leave money left over for further transfers.

Admitted, Quaresma does look a quality player, but to be honest, I would be equally satisfied to see Babel and Pennant play on the Liverpool flanks rather than the Porto star and any one of Liverpool's wingers.

That's just my opinion and I'm sure that many Liverpool fans will disagree but to me for the price tag of £15-20 million is just a bit unnecessary.

Would you rather have awinger who whips in excellent crosses and looks clueless in the D or would you have someone who crosses suddenly, from any position, dribbles, beats players regularly, and can suddenly score or turn a match unexpectedly. I might be wrong, but I think Pennant is good enough to be on a sub for a club challenging for the title. However, Queresma needs to be discipline by Rafa and is overpriced anywez!!!! N no way we buying him now.

Quarsema any day. Pennants crossing is basically all he has, he doesn't get into the box, has very little technical ability and can't score to save his life. Quaresma on the other hand has all of those and more. He is far better than anyone else we have that can play in that position, and definately worth 15 million.

If LFC has any hope of catching up with the other 3 big teams we have to continuosly improve, and we're not going to improve enough unless we spend big.

Quaresma won`t be joining Lfc. He lacks the character Rafa is looking for in a Lfc player. I believe Rafa would rather sign Monaco`s Jeremy Menez for half the fee. Alternatively we should bring out the big cash and get Ribery. A great allround attacking winger/midfielder. Too expensive though. Maybe Joaquin needs a new employer too....

Liverpool has always lacked a quality star winger...signing some one like Quaresma or Jesus Nevas would be great, i personally would prefer quaresma as he would be a sick support player to torres from the wing specially due to his high technical skills...you may think that english full backs may be able to neutralize him but he does have the ability to escape defenders and set up team mates...come on Quaresma carries from the wing passes to gerrard through ball torres sick finish. plus transfer KUYT put babel up front and see the goals come in. he knows how to finish alright. he is an amazing striker if given the opportunity. benayoun is alright on the wing even Rise is not that bad. mascherano as a left back actually is a pretty good option if you want to guard the flanks well plus allow defense to make plays with his passing and rise shot is howling once into position. 4-4-2 formation with wingers and backs in attacking pattern
