Liverpool transfer targets to avoid move to Anfield ?

Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt has become the fifth Liverpool player in 18 months to have their homes burgled. The incident happened last Thursday, with Kuyt away on international duty with Holland.

Former Liverpool keeper Jerzey Dudek he had jewellery, a large haul of footballing memorabilia and his Porsche stolen. Defender Daniel Agger had his home in Wirral burgled last September whilst Spanish keeper Jose Pepe Reina was burgled whilst playing Liverpool's Champions League semi-final against Chelsea last May.

Peter Crouch also had his home burgled whilst on international duty with England last September. I know this may sound stupid but because of all these burglaries, many possible Liverpool targets may be put off joining the Reds.

Cathal, tehlevel o fCrime is less then several other cities in Englan dwith similar population. If you look at the locations of where these crimes were commited you will see that they are spread across Merseyside and Cheshire. The link only being they are Liverpool players. The fact that they are in the public eye, everyone can see they are travelling for their sport and that anyone with a search engine can get the home address helps them become an easy target.
So please check your reference material before offering up such articles.

Again you're right Cathel. The crime rate in Liverpool "seems" to be higher than similar cities, but in fact isn't, perhaps due in part to silly posts like yours. Why not do a bit of research before posting? It would make yor comments more informed.

Its true that this kind of thing will make footballers think twice about joining liverpool. However, that is nothing new and it is clear (to quote Rafa's favourite line!) that Liverpool can only really bid for the players Man U, Arsenal and Chelsea arent interested in.

Absolutely right. The mere hint that there might be the slightest breeze to ruffle their silky locks is often enough to stop some footballers working north of Watford so it's absolutely the case that even more of them will be put off by being targeted by criminals. Because have no doubt about it they are being targeted.

What like Torres and Babel? Man Utd and Arsenal's top transfer targets in the summer? Exactly. Stop talking shite.

Besides, back on topic, the crime rate in Manchester is worse than in Liverpool, fact. Plus, none of the players actually live in Liverpool, they live in the surrounding suburbs.
