Firstly, Spurs are unlikely to win a battle against 2 Champions League clubs.
But secondly, even if they were, why on earth are we chasing a playmaker when it is patently obvious that we need an experienced stopper and a combative midfield general?
For that sort of money we should be going in for Steven Taylor and Abou Diaby, to name just a couple of bright young talents.
Or maybe Corluka @ Man City and Christian Poulsen @ Sevilla if you want a bit more experience.
Please, no more creative players. A look at the THFC goals for/against stats in the last 3 years should be a pretty clear indication where the problems are!!!

I disagree and think you are a long way off with your targets. We need a creative midielder Modoric/Riquelme/Diego. Jenas and Huddlestone do not create or score enough. Yes we need a CDM but in Zokora withsome good coaching or Kaboul will do this job very well. We still need a LM and a CB even thou King is close to a return.

It is very simple, 25mil is way too much. We need an experience LB and a classy CB. Move Bale to LM and this should be it for the january window. We should about summer buys when the time comes, but for now the mentioned area are of great concern for us. We can score goals but lack experience at the back...very simple!
