Bruce quits Blues and prepares for Wigan, who's next Blues boss !?!?!?

Steve Bruce has quit Birmingham City to take up the managerial position at Wigan for the second time in his career. Bruce was favourite to take up the position and a contract has been verbally agreed between the two parties.

Wigan chairman, Dave Whelan confirmed the three-year deal, and Birmingham City are expected to release a statement later today. It is thought that Wigan will have to pay Bruce's former club around £3 million in compensation, Whelan said "You would think nothing of paying £3m for a player, to have a manager of his quality it's a very, very cheap price to pay."

Bruce won't have a tough act to follow with becoming new Wigan boss after the dreadful reign of Chris Hutchins who got sacked after just twelve games in charge. "Steve Bruce will make Wigan Athletic a fighting machine again, that's what we've been lacking" said Whelan in his interview with Radio five. Happy days for Wigan!

Who do you think will be next Birmingham gaffa ??? Jewell, Souness, Venables
