West Ham and Man City chase Chelsea star !!!
Both Manchester City and West Ham are likely to be involved in a major bidding war come January after is was reported in The People today that both sides were interested in signing the left back. The player who has been out of favour with Chelsea this season is supposedly unhappy and wants to call it a day at the London club. He is currently behind Ashley Cole in the pecking order for left back and few suspect he will be getting his place anytime soon.
The player joined Chelsea from Southampton a couple of years ago and it looked promising at the start, he was playing games and putting in solid performances but since the arrival of Cole from Arsenal last season he has rarely been seen playing for the Blues. West Ham currently have George McCartney in left back and City have Javier Garrido both of whom have performed well this season.
If Bridge was to leave Chelsea it would probably be for at least five million pounds. I really wished he had of joined a side like West Ham or City earlier in his career because arguably he has wasted his best days on the bench at Chelsea. I knew personally that it wasn't going to work out for him as soon as Chelsea signed Cole and I think now he should just move on in his career.

Cathal, you obviously know nothing about football to make such spurious comments. The only reason he has not played as many games in the past couple of years as he could have is because of serious injuries such as a broken ankle and hip injury which both required major surgery. When fit he has played many games, and he did play in the FA Cup final ahead of Ashley Cole. Get your facts right. He is highly thought of, and well paid at Chelsea, and will fight for his position, just as everyone else does. I live in Sydney and watch every game on cable, and suggest you do the same.

I bet ur a Chelsae fan, Gabor. I think that it's extremely harsh, in saying that Cathal knows nothing about football. Look at the number of posts he has put up on his blog, all containing quality, well-written, football related content. And when you say that Wayne Bridge wiil fight for his place, that's gonna do a lot of good(NOT!!!) for him at that sham of a football club. Coz its already been proved with Steve Sidwell, Damien Duff and Wayne Bridge that Chelsea ruin the careers of players especially when they are in their prime. All of them end up playing Carling Cup football, when they could be aspiring for other clubs, who will get the most out of their ability. It's gonna happen to Tal Ben Haim as well once terry and carvalho get fit.....
