Spurs = Ramos + Kanoute - Defoe !!!

Sevilla striker Fredric Kanoute has today been linked with a surprise return to his former club Tottenham after is was reported that his current boss, Juande Ramos, is set to take the White Hart Lane hot seat. Kanoute left Spurs almost three years ago and has been a revalation in La Liga, scoring 30 goals last season for the UEFA Cup winners.

It has been rumoured today that the Mali striker, if the deal was to go through it would be for as much as £18 million, a club record fee for the Londoners. After signing for Spurs from London rivals West Ham, Kanoute soon became a fan favourite, but unfortunately for him he lost his place and was sold prior to the 2005-2006 for a fee of £4.4 million.

If Sevilla were to sell for the rumoured amount of £18 million they would make a huge profit from the fee they paid two seasons ago. I personally feel this would be a great signing for Spurs although I do think the £18 million price tag is a bit much for a 30 year old.

This would almost certainly spell the end of Jermain Defoe's career at Tottenham, with Man City and Portsmouth the most likely destinations for the England international. The 25 year old is reportedly unhappy at the lack of first team football at the club and it has been widely rumoured that an exit from the club is quite possible in the upcoming January transfer window.

    How could paying 18 million for someone you previously sold for 4.4m constitute a great signing. It sounds like a disasterous bit of business to me.

    Not even raiding Barca for Messi, Henry, Puyol and Ronaldinho will save us now.

    Daniel Levy is an absolute joke. Go ahead and appoint a non-English speaking coach (like Santini) again. Then disappear off on your 6-month honeymoon again during which you'll make a long distance call to sack him (like Hoddle).

    Utter wally. Really mad with him and that fat fame-seeker Paul Kemsley who has apparently "outgrown" Spurs. He always looks drunk to me when I see him sat in the stands. And it was this guy who made the signings with the seemingly blameless Comolli!

    Sack the board. You have made us the biggest joke in world football since Stefan Kuntz played for Germany in Euro 96. And rather appropriate comparison, wouldn't you agree?

    I agree with the fans, Juande Ramos is going to be rubbish, we are going to get relegated, but we have the quality and we could do with chanting the name MARTIN JOL again'st Blackburn Rovers.

    Jeez, you lot are moronic!

    a) We will never sign Kanoute - not for £8m let alone £18m. Levy will not allow himself to look that much of a prick.

    b) As Ramos seems certain to be the next boss it is only natural that the press try to tell us that he will buy lots of Seville players. The reality is that this is bollocks.

    c) Ramos is an exceptional coach with an outstanding track record and Levy has done well to get him.

    For fuck's sake let's not start bhy badmouthing the new manager before he even starts. You lot are cocksmokers if you think that is constructive.
