Premier League sides chase Everton Star !!!

Everton midfielder Mikel Arteta is attracting interest from Chelsea, Liverpool and West Ham after a string of fantastic displays for Everton. The Spaniard only joined the Mersey side club in January 2005 but his recent performances have attracted attention from the Premier League sides. There has been a rumour that Liverpool may offer money and Harry Kewell for the services of the 25 year old.

West Ham have supposedly approached Everton as to the possibility of signing Andy Johnson and Mikel Arteta for a fee as high as 25 million pounds. Johnson has not performed as well this season as he did last season but West Ham still want to acquire the services of the England international.

Chelsea have been linked with making a 12 million pound bid and I think that would be a good deal for Everton to get that kind of money for a player they only paid 2 million pounds for from Real Sociedad. I think Arteta definitely has the ability to play at a top side like Chelsea or Liverpool and I would love to see him playing in the Champions League. I do feel a move to West Ham would be a step down in his carrer (with all due respect to West Ham).

Your obviously not aware of how big Everton are and how much bigger we're about to become!
1800 fans to eastern Ukraine.. an estimated 7000 or more due to travel to Nurnberg..
Learn your history, top flight football did not begin with the premiership!

  2. Did I ever mention that Everton wanted to sell the pair? No. all I said was that Arteta was attracting interest from numerous amounts of clubs and that I had heard these rumours.

don't know bout arteta or johnson leaving especially arteta and for just 12 million considering he recently signed a new 5 year deal and he's playing so superbly and its not just this season he's been playing fantastic every season he's been there he's at it, its just because he's at everton and we're a 'small' club apartently so he wasn't noticed as much, he'll cost a bit more than that. i also hope and believe everton have lost their label as a selling club so although it would be good business i think arteta is an all round player and they are extremely hard to find so i would think moyes and kenwright will not be selling him for anything near 12. also i'm a huge everton fan but lets not kid ourselves arteta is a fantastic player but is he as good as gerrard, ronaldo, fabergas?? unfortunately i don't think so

well EFC i'd say your thinking with your heart more than your head. like i was saying earlier i'm a huge everton fan but i certainly don't think that arteta is better than gerrard. gerrard is genuinely one of the best midfielders in the world top 5 or 6 i would put him in and i wouldn't even be comparing arteta to the likes of kaka, ronaldinho, xavi, messi, ronaldo, deco, pirlo, riquelme whereas gerrard would be, i mean he's getting nominated for fifa world player and european player of the year awards for the past few seasons and even if he is having a rocky start to the season i betcha (unfortunately) he's gonna come good. as well i don't think you can exactly judge a player by just the patch of the season i mean very few (if any) players don't have a bad patch in the season and whats worst still is that i saw gerrard score an absolute cracker against villa and saw him set up several goals for the redshite already this season so if thats him playing badly!!!! while i admire your optimism and loyality to arteta i don't think its all that bad to be not considered as good as one of todays great players

I've heard some bs in my time but this takes the flying cowpat of the decade. To suggest or even imagine that Liverpool could do a deal for Arteta - and then to compound this fanciful notion by throwing Harry Whokell into the mix is pure fantasy.

At least you made a few people laugh at the joke.
