Liverpool will win the premiership.
The moves they have made this off-season were pure genius. Now they are more then just a tactfully intelligent side who play phenomenal defense and make brilliant passes. With the addition of Bellamy, Gonzalez, Pennant, Aurelio, and now Kuyt, they have speed. It was bad enough that goalies shat their pants by the likes of Stevie G and John Arne-Riise's left foot. Last but not least, they have Momo and Steve Finnan abruptly turning nightmares into those dreams of opposing strikers. The only thing that will hurt them is injuries or fatigue, since they have a good chance of advancing deep into the Champion's League and FA Cup.
Here's what I don't get about Chelsea. They sign two players that they don't really need in Shevy and Ballack and now they realize that they have a gaping weakness in their defense. I'm even more baffled over their going after Ashley Cole and John Arne-Riise. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Both are good defenders but are more, especially Riise, attacking backs. Why don't they go after Chimbonda? I know he's a headcase but so is Drogba.
Anyhow, I don't see anyone else challenging for the title. If Man U get Hargreaves, they might be able to make a run, but overall I just don't see them having the ability to do so. The Carrick signing was definitely (so far), the worse signing of the year. So average. As for Arsenal, Rosicky is going to have to play out of his mind for them to compete.
