Profile:

Charlton are known as a role model for any side that comes up to the Premiership from the lower league because simply they had such a stable stay in the Premiership and were just a great solid side, but in the last two years or so they have started pushing on for European competition and certainly this year it looks as though they have the team to do it. Charlton boss Alan Curbishley has been such a great manager for Charlton and has recently been tipped to be the next England manager, he has also made some great signings over the years such as Darren Bent, Danny Murphy and Matt Holland naming some. Charlton were only promoted in 2000 after going down the year before and since then they have gone from strength to strength. Charlton's highest finish in the Premiership so far was seventh in the 2003/2004 season, but this season I believe that they can go one better and finish in Europe.
