Keane ruled out for two months

Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane has been ruled out for the next two months of the season with a broken foot picked up in todays Premiership game against Liverpool, the game finished 0-0. Keane was not expected to play today after it was predicted that Keane would require three weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury. The 34-year-old broke the third metatarsal bone in his foot and will now be missing from the United team for the next two months.

This is a big blow for United because whenever Keane plays the team plays well. He is a leader and anyone would love to have him in their team. Roy will also miss the Republic Of Ireland's two World Cup qualifier's against Switzerland and Cyprus, games that Ireland really need to win if they want to qualify for the 2006 World Cup. He will also miss Man UNited's clash against Chelsea on Sunday the 6th of November.
