Yeah it may be hard to believe but Sunderland keeper Mark Poom is in talks with Arsenal over a possible move to Highbury. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is still looking for a new keeper because both of his goalies now Jens Lehman and Manuel Almunia to be honest aren't very good. Uruguyan Sebastian Viera has been heavily linked with a move to the Gunners over the last couple of weeks but a deal fell through at the last minute.

However it emerged over the weekend that Arsene Wenger had taken note that Poom was available for a free transfer and Wenger did confirm that the Estonian shot stopper had held talks in London. Poom is in the later stage of his career but he has proved to be a good goalkeeper at both Derby and Sunderland and you never know he may just be as good at Arsenal.

Poom to Arsenal, What is the world coming to? I know he was a good keeper at Derby and Sunderland but Arsenal. To be honest I don't think he will get a game if he signs but at least he will be at a team that actually achieve's something. Wenger what are you donig you have a good bit of money, USE IT ON SOMEONE GOOD!
